The Diamond Jaxx are holding an Online Auction for game worn gray road jerseys. These jerseys have been worn on field in 2010 and used since the start of the 2003 season. In addition all Home, Alternate, and Batting Practice Jerseys will be auctioned at Pringles Park during the last Diamond Jaxx regular season homestand from August 31 - September 6th.
The regular season comes to a close following Monday afternoon's home game at 2:05, against the Chattanooga Lookouts. In accordance with MiLB rules, we can then present our new branding strategy, which includes a new team name, logos and overall brand. Only one Jaxx player, first baseman Johan Limonta was named to the 2010 Southern League Postseason All-Star team. Limonta ranks 12th in the Southern League with a .299 batting average, is fourth in the league in RBI's and is tied for the league lead with 39 doubles.
The Seattle Mariners and West Tenn Diamond Jaxx announced a two-year extension of their Player Development Contract, which was going to expire at the conclusion of the 2010 season. The Seattle and West Tenn partnership began in 2007, and will now be extended to a total of six seasons through 2012.
The third and final Team Autograph and Photo Day presented by the Jackson Sun for this season will take place on Friday, September 3rd at 6:00pm. The players will be available for you to get their autograph and take pictures from 6:00pm-6:20pm. Come out and get their autograph and then cheer them on!
Saturday, September 4th will be NASCAR Night at Pringles Park! All fans that wear a NASCAR shirt will get 2-for-1 tickets, 2-for-1 concessions, and 2-for-1 Diamond Jaxx merchandise! Show your pride for your favorite driver and come out to the park for all the action as the Diamond Jaxx play the Chattanooga Lookouts, with first pitch at 7:05pm.
