MONTGOMERY, ALA. (August 26, 2010) - The Diamond Jaxx (28-32) were shutout for the eighth time this season on Thursday night at Riverwalk Stadium. The Montgomery Biscuits (28-32) beat the Jaxx 2-0, in the opener of the four-game series, the final road series of the season. The Jaxx were no hit through the first four innings and did not get a runner to second base until the ninth inning. The Jaxx remain 4 ½ games up on Huntsville with 10 games remaining in the regular season. Huntsville lost to Mobile on Thursday, 3-2.

Jose Ruiz was 4-for-4 with a run to lead the nine-hit attack for Montgomery. Henry Wrigley had two hits and Mike Folli delivered two RBI's for the Biscuits. No Diamond Jaxx hitters had a multi-hit game on Thursday night.

Josh Satow made an emergency start for the Biscuits and tossed four no-hit innings before giving up a hit in the fifth. Satow left after four frames and was not eligible for the decision. Jarrett Grube (3-5) suffered the loss for the Jaxx, giving up two runs on eight hits. Grube fanned seven and walked just one in 5 2/3 innings on the hill.

Former Cardinals' farmhand, Mike Folli drove in Jose Ruiz and John Matulia with a single in the bottom of the fourth inning. The single with two outs broke the scoreless tie and gave the Biscuits a 2-0 lead. That would be the only tally of the ball game.
